recognized exams for non-native speakers of English. The exams focus
in particular on 'everyday' English and test Reading, Writing and
Listening skills. They are held at the following 5 levels:

Successful candidates are awarded the 'Pitmans Examination Institute
Certificate in English'.
Pitman also offers SESOL examinations (Spoken English for Speakers
of Other Languages) which, like the standard ESOL tests, focus on
'authentic' English for everyday situations.

|
Why |
|
The Pitman examinations are recognized by many universities around
the English-speaking world as meeting their English language requirement

The Pitman
examinations are recognized and implemented in State education sectors

ESOL and SESOL at Higher Intermediate and Advanced levels are recognized
