Matters: Communicative, Story-Based Activities for Mastering
the Sounds of North American English
Using
a story-based approach, Pronunciation Matters provides ESL/EFL
learners with meaningful, communicative, and motivating practice
leading to mastery of a wide variety of sound contrasts in
North American English that are problematic for speakers of
other languages. The book contains almost 200 units, which
address a wide variety of problem areas (vowels, consonants,
word stress, sentence-level stress, intonation, pitch, etc.)
Diagnostic materials are also provided.
